I currently offer health coaching services throughout Bucks County & Philadelphia, PA. The ultimate goal of health coaching is to move toward integrated wellness through diet and fitness planning – creating a balance within your body and mind that will enable you to move toward total health and well-being! Introduction to Healthy Eating (7-Week group coaching series) 

Do you ever wonder what eating healthy really means? Do you struggle with cravings? Are you confused by all the conflicting information out there about what you should be eating? No need to stress! This 7-week group series covers several topics to assist you in learning the basics of eating a nutrient-dense diet. You will learn the principles of Dr. Furhman’s nutritarian program. The weekly topics include:

Introduction to Eat for Health (1), Hunger & Food Addiction (2), Magical/Mythical Protein (3), Emotional Factors in Weight Loss & Health (4), Nutritarian vs. Vegetarian (5), The Skinny about Fats (6), and Nutritarian Cooking Secrets (7).

On the Road to a Healthy Lifestyle Package (6-Week one-to-one coaching) 

Have you reached a fork in the road and don’t know which way to go in order to improve your health and eating habits? Are you regularly confused by all the conflicting information out there about what eating a healthy diet really means? If any of this sounds familiar, then, this package is for you! I’ll help you clean out your cabinets and break your attachments to energy depleting foods, help you understand food labels and what foods you really should be eating, all the while providing support and guidance through 6 hours of one-to-one coaching – these hours can be scheduled in increments starting at just 20 minutes 3 times a week or 60 minutes once a week!

This package includes:
6 hours – one to one instruction/coaching on creating and maintaining a healthy lifestyle
1 hour – grocery shopping experience and instruction on reading food labels
1 hour – kitchen/pantry clean out
Ongoing email support, recipes, and cooking tips!
FREE Introductory session (30 minutes)

What is a Health Coach?
A health coach is a person who works with each client to develop and maintain health goals to assist the client in achieving total mind/body wellness. The health coach helps to motivate the client in making each of the health goals a reality. A health coach empowers clients to utilize their strengths and begin to live each moment with purpose when making nutrition, diet, and fitness decisions. This approach is tailored to the individual needs of the client because it focuses on creating holistic health – integrating body, mind, and spiritual wellness.
The experience of health coaching can assist you in attaining many of your health goals (whether that be weight loss, improved fitness, or something totally different!) and as a result you’ll be living your life to the fullest. Coaching requires one to be open to changing current habits. You must move outside of your comfort zone (which is where you are now) to do things differently and thus find new results.

How is health coaching different from counseling or therapy?
Counselors and therapists are professionals who assist clients in dealing with past issues and trauma to begin to lead a more fulfilling life in the present. In contrast, coaching utilizes goal driven behaviors to assist you in designing your own life and beginning to live with intention, helping you to move towards overall holistic health. A health coach works as a motivator and guide in helping you to find your strengths and build on them.
The goal of health coaching is to assist a client in embracing his or her strengths in an effort to bring all facets of life into balance. Health coaching will provide you with the foundational knowledge of nutrition and diet to empower you to make positive health decisions even when faced with the greatest of temptations. Health coaching involves listening, motivation techniques, and finding an effective way for you to develop and determine your own individual health goals and act on making them a reality.
